International Optical Fair Tokyo (IOFT)

The 32nd edition of Asia’s leading optical fair was held in Tokyo and brought more than 370 exhibitors from 20 countries. Topcon Essilor Japan introduces Vision-R™ 800 and Advanced Vision Accuracy (AVA™). AVA™ is an integrated offer that includes a revolutionary optical module and a smart refraction program for subjective refraction at 0.01 diopter, and premium advanced lenses that integrate this precise prescription into the calculation and manufacturing processes to give ECPs the ability to demonstrate and deliver the best vision possible to the patients. While the official launch for the Japanese market is on November 13th, 2019, the uptake of AVA at IOFT and Nikon premium clients has been very positive.
World Sight Day (WSD)

With a total of 250+ eye tests and screenings performed, Essilor Instruments and other volunteers were actively mobilized to provide expertise and latest generation solutions for vision screening to Essilor employees, families and friends, and external suppliers. For the 2nd edition, our Visiomart500 and WAM700+ raised the interest of many employees.
In ‘Deliveroo for Business’ HQ, 60% of the population screened showed a need for a better visual acuity, while 80% feel sensitive to light. This gives a great perspective of potential growth, both for instruments and lenses.
